I loved Donnie Darko. When I watched it, probably 20 years ago (OMG, when did I get so old?!) I was confused and had no idea what I had just watched, but it made me feel something. The experience wasn't particularly pleasant, but that awkward, eerie discomfort served as a reminder that I was numb, not dead. Excellent choice. Thank you
if there wasn't something (deep and dark and true)
it wouldn't speak (neither to me) and certainly (not to you)
Donnie Who? Donnie You? Donnie She? Donnie We? Anyway, "Don-Hee-Hee" should go to sleep..(it's a wonderful film, one of my favourites..)
Nice line about being numb and not dead.. that's a scary but .. very tiny bit reassuringly.. gesturingly.. pesteringly.. reminding-me .. (that we still may-be have a small chance..) to (finally) be Free..
