She loves me, she loves me so
She loves me from dusk till ‘I-told-you-so’
Through all the pain and all the
Outpouring and pouring
and pouring out (give it a shout)
the bursting-out
the outing of cries
(“Tell me no more lies!”
”Say me no more goodbyes!”
and similar…)
She inspires me
to give up
the lies, the good-byes
She shows me an image
a snow-capped scene
Where cars drive by
like a quiet dream (quite pristine)
I stop and I sit
and in the mind (to think), I quit (for a moment)
How would things be
How would life be
If things weren’t quite that way (they are now)
If
instead of silence
pitter-patter of rain
People dying from shame
People living from pain
What if there was another way
For us to dance our lives away
Together, without shame
and pain
even in the worst of December rain
I look her deeply and quiet
As the lights slowly wink out
Lover, I start
Don’t forget
to shout.

For some reason I feel inspired to share the original version of this poem below.
Perhaps you enjoy it more than the current version:
She loves me, she loves me so
She loves me from dusk till "I-don't"
Through all the pains and all the pouring and outpouring and outbursts and outcries..
She inspires me, to tell her no more lies
The snow-capped forest, the cars go by
The way they ride, is like they say good-bye (or is it hello?)
I stop and I sit and I wonder in the still
How life would be if it weren't so quite very ill
I sit even in the quiet, in the empty (between the bustle and the hustle)
I wait and she waits
For the other
To make the first move
